Private Doctor - are they any better?

My mum is getting some really horrible neurological symptoms as well as all the others and even though she is diagnosed with PA and fibro the doctor's are just not listening or helping.

I want her to go and see a private doctor to see if they are any better and can improve her quality of life but is it worth it?

What experience have you guys had of pro ate doctor's and PA?

suggest you try looking through posts - you could search on private doctor and see what comes up. Observation would be that it is as hit and miss as NHS doctors.

If you are a member of the PAS/your mother is a member then the PAS may be able to provide specific advice on how to approach her GP about things.

I saw a neuro via nhs for my pins and needles, neck clicks etc etc and I saw the same one who i would have seen had i gone private. I felt let down by what he said but was thankful that i hadnt had the cost involved of going private.
