does anyone here have any experience of going private with their PA? I'm wondering if you get listened to?

True, I'd like to know! I wonder how much I'd be willing to pay to feel well all the time.

Depends whether you mean gp or consultant. I have seen a neurologist privately about my neurological symptoms and was patronised horribly about b12. However I did manage to get nerve conduction tests and scan which should show any damage. If there is any I can start asking questions about the cause. Just do your research before you spend any money. I would be asking questions about any doctor's b12 knowledge before committing.

Thank you, really useful to hear your experience. Hope you get the treatment you need.

I also went privately to to an neurologist.  Hopeless - more or less.  He knew less than I did about treatment for B12 D with neurological problems ... just 6 loading doses followed by 1 x 2mthly injections despite my having being diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy.  I also got a referral for a nerve conduction test though what good that will do is debatable
