Its a clinic for the price of £29.00 I can get a doctor to do it. Going for a free consultation today hopefully its what it claims to be . I'll keep posted. I was thinking every other month as I have 8 weekly from docs

I read from your previous posts blondie2505 that you have P.A. hence the 8 weekly injections.
Surely it would be cheaper for you to try to persuade your doctor to increase the frequency as I and others on here have battled to do because of a return of neurological symptoms in the run up to the next jab.
If you succeed you will not only have helped yourself but also the next P.A. patient your doctor has who present him with the same problems.
I wish you well.
I tried she basically said without saying she wouldn't give me it any sooner as the research shows theres no benefit to having it done sooner and it took me 2 years to get it down to eight. This was from the nicest doctor iv seen as well.

Really! That's amazing news. There was the whole of the rest of the world thinking that there was absolutely no research at all to back up the 8/12 week limit on injections. But she is obviously aware of some hidden research that does support it.
Ask her to give you a reference to the research she is quoting. You can give us the reference, then we can all benefit from this new knowledge !
Link to blog on B12 deficiency info website , most recent blog post deals with the issue of lack of research to back up 8/12 weekly regime.
Hi Blondie2505. Grief that sounds expensive. Especially if it's not enough and you need B12 more often. And if you have neurological symptoms, you may well do.
And your GP has obviously never heard of the neurological regime of injections for B12 deficiency (every other day until no further improvement).
Oddly, she has heard of the non-existent research which according to her states that there is no benefit of having it done sooner! Ha. Tell that to the folks here. Tell that to...well almost anybody who has the least idea about B12 deficiency.
Shameful....
If you really have hit a blank wall on this, have you though of self-injecting? Many here do, it's very easy (after the first one 😀), and plenty of people here to help if you decide to go down that route. And for the cost of one private injection would could buy oh...about 30 (plus injecting supplies)...ish...(without being too precise about it 😉).
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
👍👍
I went and got the injection at the Southampton clinic..she offered to put it in other places if I preferred like my backside.. I was like no thanks.. didn't hurt at all. All in all a good experience the doctor was very thorough and talked me through everything an asked why id come to be at the clinic and I explained that the docs prescription wasn't often enough.. and she advised to go back and get my levels checked before my next injection. But I think I will pay to have it done privately as I dont want the docs to turn round and say my levels are high and lower the frequency back down. also the lady doctor I spoke to adviced weekly injections if my levels were low so I'm going to pay to get that checked and possibly other vitamins checked.
I think you had mentioned on a previous thread that you had only had the standard protocol.

By this I assume you had 6 loading injections followed by injections evry 3 months and at a later date you then started to have injections every 8 weeks.
If I've understood correctly you still have not had the UK B12 treatment for those with B12 deficiency with neurological symptoms because you have not had the loading regime for b12 deficiency with neuro symptoms.
If the GP has accepted that you have PA and that you have neurological symptoms then perhaps it might be worth asking if you could have the correct loading regime for PA/B12 def with neuro symptoms which according to "BCSH Cobalamin and Folate Guidelines" is a loading injection every other day until symptoms stop improving with the possibility of a review of loading injections after 3 weeks of every other day injections.
In the past I have written letters to Gp and these days i include quotes from B12 documents/guidelines.

Hi blondie2505
I've just seen your post. I am looking around for places for my mum that are more local to us (she currently goes to Winchester at a cost of £45 every time!) Are you able to give me details of the clinic (assuming you still go there and it was ok)
Thanks
