Is it safe to take B12 shots twice a week? My deficiency symptoms seems to reappear a few days after I have taken a shot.

B12 shots
I split my weekly cyano-b12 dose in half and inject on Mondays and Thursday mornings. This l feel levels out the highs and lows.
Some of the healing symptoms are very similar to the deficiency symptoms and it gets confusing. Nerve repair has its own symptoms.
Start a logbook of all meds, food and symptoms. Treat the jab as day zero each cycle. The good symptoms from nerve repair, i.e. pain, hunger, will typically appear in sequence over 72 hours.
Deficiency symptoms reappear when your B12 get too low again. After a week or month depending on your activity and stress level.
The severity of symptoms after the jab is also proportional to how low your B12 was before the jab. The lower your B12 was before the jab, the higher the reaction to the jab.
Yes, it is safe. Many of us inject twice a week, or more frequently.
I inject 1mg hydroxyB12 every three days and haven't had any problems. When I started SI this fall, I developed symptoms (feeling blah) in about four days. So now I inject every third day to avoid the fourth-day blahs.
When I took 5mg methylB12 shots at the doctor's office last summer, they lasted longer; about a week, to a week and a half.
Is there a limit on the timeframe for shots? Can I continue to take shots twice a week for three months?
I’ve been injecting 3 times per week for the last year and will continue to as anything less ends up in a return of symptoms.
Yes - I have been doing daily injections to good effect for more than 3 and a half years.
Some people have been doing this for decades and some do 2 jabs a day.
If you SI frequently you may also benefit from taking a broad spectrum multivitamin and mineral supplement plus extra folate, potassium, magnesium and iron.
Or you can try B12 patches from amazon. They are great at relieving symptoms in between injections
