Flake, ridge vertically or horizontally or curl over at the ends? Anyone noticed strange nail events?

My toe nails are a complete mess - fingers not to bad but tend to keep those really short. - finger nails certainly less brittle than they were - still minor ridges but not so bad.

Apparently fungal nails can be a symptom of Candida for some people

My nails are awful - split downwards - following the ridges - and look terrible. Nail hardener seems to make matters worse. Have always blamed the thyroid - but think the nails reflect our general health - a bit like our skin. I have good hair and teeth these days - so am not going to complain too much about my pesky nails :-)

Mine were like that when I was B12 deficient, but got better after the loading injections and are fine now (with ongoing jabs).

I have vertical ridges on all my finger nails, they only grow so far before they split. on the other side also have ridges like prunes, as if I've been in the bath.

Vertical ridges on fingernails, and frequent splits, especially the thumbnails. Toenails are not great either, one has bad horizontal ridging.

Same for me especially when I'm coming up for a jab. Try to use hand creams all the time.

Vertical ridges are common with age. Horizontal ridges can be a sign of iron deficiency. I have plenty of vertical ridges on my nails but I suppose the thing that makes my nails odd is that they sometimes turn blue (poor circulation). I once had someone compliment the color of my nail polish before. I looked at my hands and went, "Um, thank you?" I wasn't wearing any nail polish. :/

My fingernail moons disappeared before I was diagnosed with B12D/PA. Eventually came back after I started getting shots.

I find my nails brittle when I need the next dose.
