Has any one else been told they are iron deficiency and B12 deficient?

I've been told that yesterday by the hospital after recent tests. So I said what happens now. He said see you own Gp. I so confused by this. Is any one else defient in both?

I was diagnosed with PA 10 yrs ago and was also iron deficient it seems to be a pretty common thing and easily remedied. Your consultant should write to your GP with this info..but if I were you I would make an appointment straight away, not something you should put off.

There may be other blood tests that you need ie Folate.Good Luck.

I'd like to point out that the cause of iron-deficiency anemia should be determined. Young women are sometimes anemic due to loss of blood during their periods. In older people bleeding from the gastrointestinal (GI) tract may be the cause of iron-deficiency anemia. The bleeding can be slow but steady and may not be noted by the person who has it.

Best,
