I find I get pain for a day at an old injection site. Have you injected in the left hip on a previous injection?

My pain is like a sting. I inject in alternating hips before bed and then try not to sleep on the side of the injection

It's my thigh not hip and I alternate as well. It's not quite so bad this morning. I guess it came as a shock as not happened before x

I sometimes notice that the stinging from the injection goes on for some time after the injection. The injection is putting a lot of fluid under the skin so possible that it is putting pressure on a nerve - unfortunately no way of predicting from the outside of the thigh when you are going to hit this situation.

If you poked the needle through a vein, it can hurt, but it usually will also darken into a bruise afterwards.

No bruise or blood so not a vein. Maybe a nerve ?

I inject in deltoid. No pain or bruising ever.
