Disregarding everything else, I find it very odd that the article mentions "vitamin B" more than once, adds (thiamine) after in one place. And appears to think that adequate.

I really only wanted to say that it's better to get Vitamin C from natural sources! What I ask of you is that if you were suffering from SCURVY, would you want to be treated with ASCORBIC ACID? (Instead of lemons or limes? )

It would make no difference. Ascorbic Acid *is* Vitamin C and Vitamin C *is* Ascorbic Acid. As a chemist I couldn't possibly tell if the stuff in your body was synthetic Ascorbic Acid or natural Vitamin C, even with the millions of pounds worth of equipment I used to use.

Because there is no difference.

The only difference between 'natural' and synthetic is that I know that the synthetic material will be pure and I'll know just how much I'm taking.

So, if I were suffering from SCURVY then I'd prefer to be treated with ASCORBIC ACID, unless the limes included TONIC water and GIN.

Well, you would not survive. Ascorbic acid does NOT cure Scurvy. If you put enough lemon /lime in you gin and tonic, it would help!

Not what you're looking for?
