Please see how just taking the time to post or email our draft letter to your MP could raise the profile of the problems we face....

We have been extremely lucky in being granted use of the Jubilee Room in the House of Commons to host a reception on Tuesday February 3rd between 12 noon and 2pm.

This provides us with an excellent opportunity to raise awareness among politicians of the problems that patients with Pernicious Anaemia face in getting a quick and accurate diagnosis and treatment according to the needs of the individual.

We are doing all that we can to ensure that we get as many MPs and Government Ministers to attend our event, but WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please complete the letter template in the link below and send it to your MP either by email or as a letter.

The more MPs that attend the event the more successful we will be in raising awareness of the problems patients with Pernicious Anaemia face with a view to getting the way in which the condition is diagnosed and treated thoroughly reviewed.

If you wish to accompany your MP to the event then please advise them.

I wrote to my MP a year or so ago re. thyroid treatment. The reply from Jeremy Hunt was complete gobbleygook. He had obviously passed it on to an aide, who was, obviously, meant to fob me off.

So it was really interesting to hear Baroness D'Souza on 'Woman's Hour' this morning, who said the House of Lords might be a better place to raise some issues, as their representatives have diverse specialities, are more willing to raise amendments and actively seek information from campaigning groups. Would this be another way to go I wonder? I'm just about to look up their website.
