Has anyone experience of taking Niacinamide Adenide Dinucleotide (NADH) to improve their Parkinson's symptoms?

It is supposed to reduce depression, improve mood and brain function. The dose is 5mg twice a day.

I have tried this. I went to a Parkinson's clinic in Vienna for a week and had intravenous NADH treatment. Apart from being horribly expensive I did not notice any difference in my condition! Tony x

Hello Tony,

Thank you for answering my question. Although I have not tried it the evidence is that it can take several days or weeks even for the benefits to show. So, I hope that your injection will give you a boost soon. A search of the Internet shows a lot of positives for the orally taken one taken twice a day.

Hi Norton

In fact I had the treatment way back in 2000! Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hello Tony,

Yes, I realised it was not recent soon after I posted my reply.

I saw your post on mucuna pruriens and was sorry it did not work for you. I think it would if you play around with getting the right dose; for me it was 10mg and half a sinemet tablet three times a day.

Regards

Hi Norton

Is the 10mg dose of Mucuna equivalent to one scoop?

No, Tony. Sorry, but I mislead you. It was not 10mg, but 10ml which is the equivalent to a dessert spoonful. I use my wife's measuring spoon set which has a 10ml spoon in the set. The measurer that comes in the container of Zandopa is of 7.5g capacity which for me was too much, so I dispensed of it. I don't know if you are taking Sinemet, but I take a half of a 25/100mg tablet with each dose for the carbidopa element to help the Ldopa be absorbed from the MP because is does not have carbidopa in it. Having said that, I think that Zandopa is absorbed anyway because it is supposed to have quite a few ingredients in its composition and anyway the manufacturers do not make any recommendation that you should add anything with it.

I hope you find your level and have success using it. You can always send me a message if you need anymore information.

Hi, you wrote this three years ago, 2013. I am writing to you July, 2016. Are you still taking the Zandopa? If yes, where do you purchase it? If no, what made you stop. If no, what is/are your current med(s)? I'm thinking of adding it to my son's intake of Sinemet.
