I have read about numerous brain benefits of One Meal A Day (OMAD) fasting.
Anybody has a view on trying OMAD and High Dose Thiamin together for advanced brain repair and recovery protocol?

I practice intermittent fasting 3 or 4 days per week, usually 14 to 16 hours. The brain and metabolic benefits are well documented, although the optimal number of hours is debated. Supposed benefits range from 14 to 20 hours of fasting. OMAD is typically 20+ hours. I like the way it makes me feel empowered and mentally sharp and I believe it helps with keep my sugar and carb cravings at bay and my weight under control. Taking HDT capsules is no problem on an empty stomach.
At this point I am not yet taking any PD pharmaceuticals and I am worried about having to give up my IF practice due to the oft-reported nausea and need for food with PD drugs. Just have to cross that bridge when I get there, I suppose.
Good luck!
Thanks. Since i am on OMAD, i will need to consume B1 on an empty stomach. I only have dinner
Do you have an update on OMAD, and any changes in how you feel?
Not really quantifiable. I have been doing 16/8 IF almost since diagnosis 5 years ago. I believe the fasting cured my diabetes in one year and also helped me delay Parkinson medication for 5 years.
Planning to start serious OMAD from 20 July 2020. Will keep you updated here.
I started OMAD two days ago (dinner only).
What do you call "serious OMAD "?
I’ve just started, at two meals 16/8. Planning some more aggressive OMAD in the coming weeks.
