Bisacodyl 5mg. AKA Colace, it's a stimulant laxative. I take one with lunch and generally have a BM by the next morning.

Always make an effort to include fiber rich foods in your diet + lots of water + good probiotic + prunes (if needed)

I use Swiss Kriss and have been using it for four or five years. I take four tablets at night before go to bed but if you decide to use it you might want to start with a little less to see how it goes but it's the only thing I found that works for me and I've tried everything.

Taking b1 Thiamine hcl stopped my constipation. It also stops or helps many of my other symptoms. This is a known treatment for Parkinson’s disease.

what dose to you take or recommend?

Sorry, I never saw your question. I take 3.5 grams (7 500mg capsules) per day. 4 capsules when I wake up and 3 capsules at 1:30pm. It is best to not take it very late because it can interfere with sleep. It has to be b1 Thiamine hcl. The hcl is the important part. Other forms of Thiamine can build up in your organs and become dangerous. The b1 Thiamine hcl is water soluble and is eliminated in your urine, what your body doesn’t use. I started out taking 2 grams per day and eventually increased to my current dosage. Dr. Constantini’s recommended dosage is 4 grams. For many Anglo Saxons that is too much. Like Parkinson’s effects everyone different the b1 seems to be a different dose for everyone. It’s different for everyone. Good luck

Glass of prune juice daily and magnesium citrate are night plus lots of water. B1 can help. Foods with fiber. Best to do natural things. If not enough add Metamucil and Colace if needed

Prune juice works better than prunes. ( They are also high in Thiamin B1). Drink lots of fluids.

My friend works as an LNA in a senior facility; he said when patients have issues, they give the patients prune juice mixed with milk of magnesia.

Check your blood potassium level . If you're at a lower range or deficient, this is another cause for persistent constipation. Eat potassium rich food and/or supplement with potassium citrate. You should try the HDT (hcl B1) as many has advised above or could even try Benfotiamine which is very bio-available. If your'e not already taking magnesium, I highly suggest that you try.

My HWP eats peanuts everyday! Never had problem with constipation. Also takes a probiotic every day.

I don’t know if anybody mentioned this but stool softeners seem to be very effective. And I do think somebody mentioned MiraLAX which is also helpful.

I take Bitter-melon pulp everyday and it has helped my constipation. I blend several bitter melons and keep it refrigerated.

I take 1/4 cup mix it with 3/4 water and take first thing in the morning. I have noticed that if I don't take my irregularity returns.

It causes dyaria for my wife so try and adjust the dose. Can't hurt you.

A simple change in diet in the past few years has helped; more seeds and nuts. Also I find smoking to be a great laxative, although of course there are long term side effects.
