We are currently "toasting" home grown ,legal marijuana to add to edibles. I'll report in if it helps my husband who has a lot of psychosis and anxiety on and off.

In Africa the people make a strong brew out of it and drink it like tea.

I've never heard of that one. I didn't realize it has to be heated to release the cannabis properties . He hates smoking it and it gives too fast a high that stresses him. I put dry cannabis in capsules and that didn't have any effect. (because it wasn't toasted first) Awhile back i put it dry (not toasted)in some fudge and it was great. It probably worked because it was heated while cooking it. Anyway, today I'll toast it in the oven and add it to another box of fudge, or maybe try it quickly, in some peanut butter. I know i can make an oil, but that sounds a lot more complicated.

try cooking it in the butter that you use to bake with, measure the amount you use and then you can adjust the strength next time. We make these with it, not so rich as brownies freshchoice.co.nz/recipes/e...

Thank you! All hints appreciated. During the worst of times, it calms me down too in edibles.

Making the oil is very very easy! Once you have cooked the weed you just have to add oil. I make with a soul vide cooker. Easy easy.

One option your husband can consider is using a weed vape, because you can select a weaker vape cartridge which will come on slower and the vape is very smooth compared to smoking. I would compare it to drinking a high quality Scotch compared to a low quality Scotch. The vape is very easy to use because no lighter is needed. The internal rechargeable battery heats the cartridge output just enough to release the THC/CBD/CBN while you hold a small button down and release as soon as finished taking a draw so little is wasted. The smell output also seems to be milder than smoking.

If you aren't able to find an appropriate marijuana vehicle that your husband can tolerate and use effectively, you can consider what forum member bassofspades is currently using to very good effect and much less expensive than all of the MM options except home grown! It has helped him with depression, anxiety, brain fog, tremendously improved memory and PTSD in a relatively short period of time! Here is a link to what bassofspades is using:

what i like about the chocolate ,is that i leave it in a tub in the freezer. It doesn't get hard and i scoop out what i want. Anyway, that's how it worked the time it was successful.

I have a pitiful story to share.Last night after making the marijuana infused chocolate, i licked the bowl. I was sick from around 6 pm on, it seemed like i passed out every 30 seconds and then had dry heaves. I couldn't move from the bed or even get a sip of water, I felt paralyzed. This went on for hours and hours. I never want to go through that again. i know i experienced an extreme reaction. I was as stoned as anyone could be. I don't know why anyone would ever want to feel that way.

Seems like you took way too much. I limit to 5 mg and very good for sleep no nausea or other unwanted side effects.

I put 3.5 grams in a pack of baking chocolate, 7 oz. i think. We live in wild fire country and I know if we had an emergency, there was no way I could have run out of the house. I just wanted to use it for when I get so tired of being a caretaker and to relax my husband. Really scary that I did something so stupid.
