I take stalevo every 2 hrs all day and night. I only sleep in short intervals, my body instantly goes into a full hard tremor at exactly 2 hrs all day and night long. I am exhausted. I have been fighting PD for 22 years. Ready to die.

taking meds every 2 hrs around the clock. 24/7
I am taking stalevo every 3.5 hrs . my doctor recommended DBS surgery and Im going for it. may be you can check this option.
Should you be taking it throughout the night? If you're taking 12 tablets a day, maybe that is too much medication. I think you should check with your Neurologist about your symptoms and dosage.
i also take sinemet every 2 hrs. i have the the diphasic (end of dose) type of dyskinesias, (this may be what you are experiencing). so i make sure that im on time with my doses. then i can usually stop the dyskinesias before they even start. i need to take the sinemet during the night or i have severe distonia (toes curling under, cramps in feet). but i only take 1/2 of a pill. i find thats enough to stop the distonia, but not enough to cause the dyskinesias when the dose is wearing off, or make me too alert to fall back to sleep. fordy40---you could try taking half of your daytime dose at night, and see if that works for you.
Neuroderm is developing a pump/patch delivery system for liquid sinemet that delivers the drug subcutaneously for 24hours. Very even on time is what they claim. I'm hoping it's affordable when it's approved.
I have noticed differences, are these durational pills or rapid release? With me at least if I have to much carbidopa/levodopa in my system I'll have dyskinesia bad. At night I take rapid release with a durational one to keep symptoms at Bay and be able to sleep. Also A good hot shower before bed helps my legs with stiffness. Like a hot bath, the heat helps loosen them up.
