Dr Hinz

I have been taking this protocol for several months now. I was up to 27 grams of mucuna. I was experiencing an upset stomach. Dr Hinz kept adjusting my Neuroreplete but couldn't get rid of the upset stomach. I cut back my mucuna to 12 grams per day but still was having an upset stomach.

Dr Hinz guessed that my problem was not nausea just an irritated, inflamed stomach.

I went to my Gastro doctor and he performed an endoscopy. He confirmed that my stomach is inflamed. I stopped the mucuna for several days and the irritation subsided. I am now down to 7 grams and continue to get a little stomach irritation however, at this dose, it is not helping my symptoms at all.

I am now wondering if I am allergic to mucuna.

Any one else experiencing this type of irritation?

I only get it when the pills dont go all the way down or i take them on an empty stomach. At least 1 swallow of food helps get it down, otherwise i get burning. Im guessing thats from the proteins.

I get irritation regardless, but it is worse with an empty stomach. At higher doses it is bad no matter what I eat.

What brand and how much do you take per day?

Typically Dr. Hinz uses Mucuna with 40% LDopa. That is10.8G LDopa.

I use 98% LDopa Mucuna, which works fine, and is also much cheaper. More importantly you are reducing the bulk from 27 to 11G.

As an aside, I am on 3.6G ; I got dyskinesia at 9G.

Who is your doctor who is helping you arrive at Dosages? I ordered MP for my husband and he experienced with less than a half teaspoon. Within 5 minutes he was faint, dizzy, weak, had chills, was nauseous and went to bed for 1.5 hours. It had never occurred to me that a naural product could have such see vere side effects. We dont know where to find someone who will help us explore non-parmaxeutical alternatives. We live in New England. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Harley, please tell us if you are doing well on this therapy, we are also considering it. You do have to commit to a year with no refund of the initial 3500, and also the supplements which are extra are about 500 a month. It seems a very serious decision. Very hard to make with very little info out there.

Hi Autumn,

It was easier for me, I searched for a doc for the best part of a year before finding one. When I did, I went for it gladly.

There are more now; shop around, I saw one at $240/hr.

I spend £20 per week on meds, largely due to the use of pure Mucuna LDopa. The 40% is a horrendous price, and is widely used, but when the 98% became available Ron swapped us over. It could be he just hasn't changed the estimate on the website.

I had a hiccup in my journey whereby I collected a diskonesia (d). This is a symptom, in my case a fuzzy brain and a slowly shaking head. The thing with this is that it gets worse with more LDopa. So we end up unable to increase LDopa without making the d worse, and unable to reduce LDopa without making the tremor worse. Oops!

The bonus with this is that the dose picks itself.

So; with time, the head has ceased shaking and the fuzziness and tremor are much improved, fuzziness maybe a couple daily, and tremor if stressed, but can steady it voluntarily. Time will tell, but I am encouraged thus far. I would do it all again. My hope is that I am not doing myself any harm, whereas other routes are guaranteed to harm me.

Dr.Ron is a genuine guy, I would ask about the meds price, but otherwise go for it.

Thanks, I think I will try the 98%.

Do you mean a 98% L-dopa extract made of Mucuna bean? Where do you find such a thing? Very interested. My husband takes capsules of pure mucuna bean powder which I fill for him, 2 grams at a time and really thinks it is helping him. Is that possible?

Hi Autumn, Google for 98% or 100% LDopa.

Raw Mucuna has very little LDopa, but, if it helps then why not.

I had projectile vomiting on this type of Mucuna. I now take Mucuna Dopa by Biovea 250 mgm.

Of course I also have DBS

I'm thinking if trying mucuna but I want more info. What type, where to order, how much, etc. I live in Montreal, 🇨🇦 any advice?

You really should try licorice powder for stomach irritation. It helps very much, heals your stomach. Sauerkraut and cabbage juice also help.

It is a waste of time to follow the Hinz protocol. Just take the sinemet as it is highly proven and safe. Taking that much macuna is toxic. Any doctor that recommends you follow that protocol is a quack. It is truly senseless to take that as you are getting the same thing by taking the sinemet but at a much lower dosage which is always a good thing.
