I go to see my neurologist in August, I have seen my gp for about 8yrs so to her shock to see me with not a gentle tremor we thought was a arthritis issue from neck surgery (3 discs replaced with titanium) she told me to walk (I use a walker) and noticed my left side had gotten remarkably worse since seeing her last (about 4-5 months) she sent me to MRI my brain and thankfully nothing but it explains a lot of issues I have been having she prescribed 10 mg valium to deal with the tremors til I see my neuro should I not take it when I see him so he gets the full picture since he's seen me once to obtain a referrel for my neurosergon to work on my lower back L1-L6 are bulging or herniated (pain is so great I barely walk on bad days)

Hi Bonnie. I am not a doctor, but I have had 53 years of dealing with lower back problems. In 1960/1 I injured my lower back, while lifting a dancer, on stage, with my arms held out in front of me, instead of close to my body. We all heard my back click, as the disc herniated. I had traction and all sorts of treatments that did not work. In 1977 a neurosurgeon persuaded me to have the offending disc removed. At the time, he said to me, "Don't ever allow a surgeon to fuse the vertebrae together, as the back was meant to bend and must never be prevented from doing so". I had a second disc removed in 1998 and have never looked back. After the first disc was removed in 1997 I was able to snow ski, and play golf etc. Many of my acquaintances did not heed this warning and have suffered with continued back problems ever since. Good luck with your back!

valium is contraindicated for PD so maybe let him get full picture. Good luck for a clear diagnosis.

Thanks you for the info John Pepper I am not certain they will do much for it anyway until I get a diagnosis my right side has joined the left now and I look like I'm shuffling off to Buffalo now lol...Pat V yes she knows it was more for the frustration of dealing with the tremors I was a chef before my neck surgery and to not even be able to butter a piece of bread or cook a meal without dropping a hot pot of sauce on the floor was driving me to distraction, she already said it was just to give me some peace to deal with the frustration but thanks for telling me if I hadn't known it that is valuable advice but it keeps me from wanting to give up when I need to be up and walking as much as possible
