I have chronic pancreatitis treated with Creon but I just discovered why and that I had additional issues. I has an MRI/MRCP, which disclosed I have 4 cysts on my pancreas and I have autoimmune cirrhosis. The cysts are just under a cc so nothing can be done but wait and watch. I wanted him to treat cirrhosis with prednisone but said it was not severe enough yet. I wan’t comfortable that but I thought of a solution which appears to be working, so I wanted to share it. My bloodwork showed a lot of inflammation and I was getting UTIs. My primary care doctor suggested cranberry extract for the UTI’s, so I took 2 a day as suggested. I noticed my pancreatitis symptoms were improving. I read up on it and it’s a powerful anti-inflammatory. Since both the cirrhosis and pancreatitis cause inflammation, I decided to take 3 a day 1 after each meal. Not only have I had no UTIs, I am sleeping better, am less tired, less nauseated and my bowels are much improved. No doctor has had any problem with me taking 3 a day. I use Azo brand.
