So yesterday first day on this. Took them as prescribed. During the night woke up with a sore throat. This morning I had a look and one side of the throat is red, with what looks like an ulcer. I swallowed the capsules with plenty of water . Now I have a tickly cough and feel slightly off balance. Feel yucky and just noticed they contain pork by products . I have a reaction to pork and never eat it. Happy Saturday everyone.

I read somewhere on this site about the pork content in those , there is apparently a vegetarian option which might be worth exploring.

I’m not diagnosed as yet but reading everything I can put my eyes on atm hence my interest.

I have chronic sore throats and gargle with salt water which does give relief ( I level salt tsp in a glass of warm water) and sip warm water with lemon juice (when it’s not too stingy) and a tsp of good honey which lubricates the throat easing the pain.

Thanks. It's gotta be the meds as I don't get sore throats ( looked up side effects) or a coincidence. My GP will raise his eyes as I'm a lightweight when it comes to medication . At least I know what I'm dealing with and it came as a shock plus Diverticulor disease. Wishing you well

you can get an alternative on prescription, I think it’s called Nutrizym

Not if you are allergic to pork

Hi Jackie I have been on creon for a year now and it has been a learning curve I haven't had problems like yours but I have no problems with pork good luck with an alternative xx
