I am 7 years on and get a random severe pain now and again but otherwise really well. I follow a very low fat low fibre diet but with lots of fruit and veg. I have spent several years writing down what I eat and drink and make notes of bowl movements and how different foods now react. This had made a sign I can't difference. Just take each day one at a time and set small targets. Good luck
