Hi all, hope that everyone is getting some good Positive feed back from their symptoms.

I just received my blood test results stating by a Different GP that everything is ok and Normal and nothing to worry about. Then he mentioned to me saying that appear to be suffering from Anxiety, but my Symptoms don't point to Anxiety, I feel sick with some Abdominal pain and discomfort, but the worst thing is that just in Five days I've lost just over a stone in weight.

I mentioned to my GP that there's something much more going on, and he said that from the Blood tests everything is fine, and I'm still waiting for my X-Ray to come back, but I explained to him that PC is hard to detect and by the time you find something it'll be to late, I asked about having a CT scan done but he believe its best to wait for a week or two and see how my Weight is.

can anyone give me a bit of advice, I know many of you have bigger issues and like me Scared.

but i feel I'm loosing a battle here with an ignorant GP who doesn't want to listen, but I bet if I had money and i told him that I'll pay whatever it costs he would be quick on it.

sorry for the negative post everyone, I just don't know were to turn to. Most of my family live far away, lucky I've got my sister here to show some support, but I can see this isn't helping her either.

all the best

Hi. Losing that much weight in such a short time is a concern. I would really push for a ct scan or certainly an ultrasound scan. With my diagnosis I had an ultrasound scan which showed an abnormality significant enough to go straight in for a ct scan which showed a tumour in the pancreas so just for your own sanity try to push for it. Time is of the essence with this and as it turned out the tumour in my pancreas was the secondary tumour and the primary tumour was in the duodenum which the symptoms present earlier. Don't think your being a nuisance with the doctors insist on getting a scan on you abdomen. What blood tests did you have done. You need to have a full blood count. Liver function test. At the very least. Hope this helps a bit if you need any other help please mail me. Graham

Hi. I had lots of minor symptoms but did not lose weight. I had itching, pain in right side, tired all the time and was going to the doctors for about 18 months before they sent me for a ct scan. I believe they did this to prove to me that there was nothing wrong. It turned out I did have a cyst on my pancreas and following more tests I was operated on within 2 months. I am very lucky in that it was not cancerous and it is now nearly 6 years on and I am feeling great. Don't give up. I felt like you "there was something not right" but didn't know what. You know your own body best. Keep going to the doctors and as "sausagehead" said get them to do more exacting blood tests. Good luck.
