Thanks for the fast response. Pains in my body have been put down to diabetes damage as well as arthritis and degenerative disc disease.

Definitely have pain in more than one place regularly for example ill have sharp pain in my lower back and because of that my legs start to hurt or if I'm stood up I get pain in my lower back and by shoulder become weak.

Hi and welcome, pain can definitely be in different areas. I have three main pain centres, abdominal (small intestine) medically unknown, chest cause either reflux or emphysema and back which has been put down to osteoarthritis of the thoracic spine with bone spurs growing into the body. I also have pain in right elbow from cubital tunnel syndrome. As the gp like scores out of ten my pain ranges from 6-9/10. I was on pain patches but had to wean off because they stopped me breathing a lot and it was deemed to dangerous (they made all pain manageable) , now on nefopam 90mg x 3 per day not as good. I find I can deal with chest and back because there is a cause the worse one is abdominal, had camera’s in both ends but found no reason for pain. I have been to pain clinic a few times never helped but I have been referred again told 17 weeks or more . I have multiple issues but when the pain is 8-9/10 I usually end up bedridden. It’s hard dealing with pain because people see you as looking ok even gp’s , I had one wrote in my notes “ was looking good “! I was in a social prescribing group for pain which was good as everyone suffered from pain and could relate. Hope you find the answers you need. Kevin

Social prescribing group for pain, that sounds interesting !

Yep abdo pain can drive you up the wall , does me , Again for me though GP thinks it's a bit of IBS and diabetes damage to nerves and gastroperesis . I think it is more difficult when no specific cause is found!

Yes social prescribing was done through the gp’s practice but also local councils, at the beginning there was only me and wife and once people had heard about it we had one session and there was over 100 people they had to turn them away usually there were 10-15 present. It was good because everyone was in the same boat. Look it up in your area. Good luck. Kevin
