I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia I also suffer from neuropathy of the motor and sensory nerves which I had for several years,I am on Citalopram for anxiety also ,my doctor wants me to stop my BuTec patches and go on Pregabalin as the patched are causing problems with my stomach and mental health,I am worried about taking pregabalin as it interacts with the Citalopram.

Pregabalin and interaction with other medication.

Hi it should be fine ,the dic would have checked and will monitor, and doc will know ,There lots of meds that interact, I take some ,lots have different interact as well ,,I.e sleep tiredness etc an xsample specially if the 2 have same side effects,
Another way is taking them 2 to 4 hour apart from each other ,I got told by gp ,
The
Pregablin
Has lots of side effects
But is a good drug very good for your conditions
Everyone different though
I'd give a try
The butec I was the same
Now fentynal
Along side Pregablin and other pain meds
Another way is
Low doses together a mixture helps
I'd try
And keep in touch with
Doc
You may need other pain med as well
I tried pregabalin but didn't like how they made me feel. I was totally out of it. I've now been prescribed duloxetine, they are an antidepressant but also work for fibromyalgia pain. I've been taking them for 5 weeks now and my pain level has gone down. I'm hoping with continued use I see more of an improvement. Also I stopped taking my anxiety medication propranalol but have had no withdrawal symptoms from that. I'm happy with my new medication but will never try pregabalin again
PLEASE be careful about going off the Butec patch. Buprenorphine is a unique opioid used for pain. You will have withdrawals if you stop. Please research this before you make that decision. The doctor should have known that, but you can easily look it up.
