For a few months now I been getting these gnawing hunger pains, when I eat something it seems to go away but it comes back. I went to a stomach doctor who had me take an MRI but it only showed negative with a few liver & pancreas cyst that were previously noted on a prior MRI a couple of years ago. I am baffled to why I am getting these hunger pains

Gnawing hunger pain everyday
Could it be inflammation caused by reflux? Have they tried you on PPIs?
are you on any medication as a lot of pain medicine can cause hunger pains as you describe? Have you tried changing your diet maybe up the fibre and protein as these will both keep you fuller for longer which may help delay the symptoms and always try to take medication with food even if it doesn’t require you to your stomach will thank you for it in the long run. Good luck
I suffer with chronic pelvic pain for many years and I have learned I was using food as a comfort when I eat I want more and more so my dr put me on psyllium husk powder I take one to one and a half teaspoons a half hour before each mail 3 times daily it has helped me not feel as hungry..I hope this helps
hi, sorry to hear about your stomach issues. I have reflux, not the same as regular indigestion. I have a prescription for it. It feels just as you described. Try smaller meals and I nibble on plain saltine crackers between meals . The biggest cause of flare ups are NSAIDs, like naproxen and ibuprofen. I can’t take these over the counter meds. Maybe your doctor can prescribe one of the many reflux meds and try stopping the anti inflammatory medication. Unfortunately I have very bad arthritis and those meds are recommended. I tolerate butalbital and tramadol for pain. But every time I add an anti inflammatory medication it starts the gnawing, hollow stomach. I hope this helps.
