I just had my (at last) appointment with my orthopaedic consultant.. the mri I had in 2019…. Does show a pinched sciatic nerve the other consultant never mentioned it!! So I am hoping that it’s not permanent damage as that’s what happened to my right sciatic nerve… new consultant is getting more MRI scan done and I have appointment in May to discuss options..
this is on top of fibromyalgia anxiety and depression it’s all going on lol

Oh dear you got it bad girl but at least your getting somewhere now. Its such a shame things take so long. I hope there no permanent damage for you. Fingers crossed. Take care 🙂 💕
Sounds as though I have similar. I’ve had some back pain since I had my first child, who is now 53! I’m 81! and a recent MRI( for which I waited nearly all of last year) shows cauda equina, a narrowing of the spine which pinches the nerves and causes sciatica among other things. I enquired about private surgery but that would cost £16000 plus the follow up physio with no guarantee that I would be pain free following an operation. The NHS do not advise surgery but rather steroid injections. I am awaiting these now but there is a months long queue. I am chief carer for my husband who has dementia so it isn’t easy and you have my sympathy. Most days it’s hard to stand or walk for longer than a few minutes so I do know how you’re feeling. I take Tramadol and Gabapentin when I really need to but try to avoid painkillers as they make me nauseous. Keep going, you’re still young enough to be more resilient than an old doll like me!
