Ice, gels there isn't a lot else you can do, you just need to sit it out until it eases itself.

Hope it gets better soon.

Professional help hasn't done any good then?

If naproxen and ibuprofen aren't working it kinda points to it not being inflammation that is causing the pain but maybe something else because ligaments should have healed by two years. What sort of GP do you have and what other health care professionals have been involved? If something isn't getting better it sounds like it is time to reassess.

I feel like others it is time to reassess the problem if its been around two years. Have you considered a private assessment , ? Has your GP had it xrayed or scanned? Have you had any physio, seen a specialist in knee problems ? There are exercises on line but generally aimed at those with a diagnosis, who said a torn ligament? , was it investigated to make sure it is that ? Other than that the only option for pain is things like Gabapentin, or co-codamol, or tramadol. Which ligament is torn is another question. The longer you leave a knee problem the more likelihood of long term problems with mobility & pain.See it as new year new start and chase your GP up. Good luck

Torn ligament needs to be surgically repaired they don’t regrow or repair themselves and can eventually lead to OA and having and unstable knee can result in falls.
