Hello I’m a 21 yo male 6,3 and 195 in good shape. This past week I’ve had random spells of like dizziness but I’m not losing my balance it’s like my eyesight is dizzy and like my eyes can’t seem to focus on one thing they seemed overwhelmed(I’m not sure if that makes sense). And the symptoms have gotten worse these past few days. Today at work I was helping a customer and I started to get dizzy again it was severe and sudden. My vision was spinning I got lightheaded and honestly thought I was going to pass out. Once she left I spoke to my manager then had my girlfriend pick me up and go to the ER. They did a urine, blood and a physical test on me. They also did a ekg checked my blood pressure and did a CT scan on my head and EVERYTHING came back negative and fine. They told me to follow up with my primary care and I’m just frustrated they can’t find anything and it’s hard to explain my symptoms cause I’m not sure how to explain that I don’t get dizzy and lose balance just my eyesight seems dizzy someone please help me

Hi there, I’ve had something similar in the past, it was a ocular migraines, would be worth looking into. Would also recommend visiting an optician. All the best!

Hmmm okay I will look into that I have a appointment this Friday with my primary care doctor ever since my hospital visit on Tuesday I’ve been constantly slightly dizzy now

Like Lisa, I get those. It’s ocular migraine for me too, i.e a migraine without the headache but your eyes get fuzzy and it’s like a kaleidoscope around the edges for me. Just keep calm and if very bad I take a paracetamol and sit it out. Tends to last anywhere between 45 minutes to about 2 hours.

Hi Dillan10, I agree with the previous 2 reply’s, I also had this weird feeling, with kaleidoscope zigzags in the Vision and disorientation, but usually only the right eye. I went to Optician and they diagnosed Ocular Migraine, not always with an headache, can last a few minutes to 1 or 2 hours, I have been prescribed Sumatriptan tablets and they do ease the symptoms. My advice would be to see an Optician as soon as possible.

Best wishes, hope you get it sorted soon.

That sounds different. Sounds more like an ear problem maybe. Friend of ours suffers from vertigo. See your GP

Follow the advice on post Go see an optician they can then refer your problems to your primary care for decision. I have had visual problems like this for many years , as well . called eye migrains with no headache, but they do make you feel strange when they occur and can leave you feeling a little drained after it clears, not ideal when you are working is it . TAke care and follow it up .

There is another possibility to the eye problems and that is the inner ear. It could be the irritation of the vestibular nerve. My 25 year old son has recently had this. As the ER said, follow up with primary care physician.

Are his symptoms similar to what I’m experiencing?

Yes. He described it initially as if the world had a delay on it, like the would wasn't being rendered properly. then the next day he woke up with dizziness but it wasn't like the dizziness from spinning around. Eventually he found that if he kept his eyes really still, and kept his head still, he could cope. He didn't have any ear pain or hearing loss which is usually what happens with labyrinthitis, so we figured it was vestibular neuritis.

Good comments here, I was going to add vertigo, I was taking pain medication for a back injury a few years ago and it induced vertigo, horrible! Something to consider, it can be brought on by certain meds or develop itself. Also ear issue as mentioned, could be an infection…

I don’t have any ear pain though and I was on doxycycline for a infection and I searched up side effects of it and dizziness is one so I stopped taking it Tuesday so maybe this will all fade away soon

I have all the problem you described the only difference is I have a blurred vision.

I have been diagnosed with vertigo but I have several underlying conditions too. My head MRI result will be known next week.

Some specific food give me a lot of dizziness such as gluten, meat. Try to eliminate some of the food if you are allergic. I’m also histamine intolerance.

Honestly, I do feel for you…we have a lot to take in

Best wishes
