Vaccine reaction

I had my first dose of the Oxford vaccine. Felt under the weather for about a week, nothing major or enough to keep me in bed. Then about 5 days later on the weekend I woke up with pains in my chest/shoulder area. Saw my GP who said I must've contracted Covid in Dec when my son tested positive (I was negative) and the vaccine created a big immune response. Blood oxygen and resting heart rate good. Not off my food. But still feel discomfort in my chest area. Seems to move about. Especially feel it when I'm slumped on the sofa.

GP listened to chest, said everything was fine.

Anyone else experienced this? It's been going on for nearly 3 weeks. Feel like I'm running at around 60%.

We sometimes assume that something like the vaccine is responsible as it was shortly after the vaccination that the pain started. It may be totally unconnected, any chest pain/ allied with shoulder pain should have been investigated by taking an ECG, if only to reassure you. Personally I am doubtful it is Covid or a cardiac problem, I would suggest seeing a different doctor for a second opinion. It may be a strain. Good luck.

I just saw where they are finding out that those who had covid and then get vaccinated are having more vaccine reactions then those who didn’t and by the sounds of it the test to see if you have Covid isn’t 100% accurate. Wow.

Yep, I've ask ideas this. GP was pretty certain I must've had it back in Dec when my son did. I did have symptoms but had 3 tests all negative. Weird

Hi all. Me and my partner had covid in December - I had no symptoms apart from elevated pulse however I must admit I have suffered from muscle aches, fatigue and elevated liver enzymes since (Apparently it’s all linked to long covid. I tested positive on an antibody test the end of January, Then had the vaccine in March and had very little reaction to it. I was dreading the vaccine after the stories I was hearing about if you’ve had covid it’s worse but wasn’t too bad. Most people I know who suffered haven’t been diagnosed with covid

I just don't get it. My son tested positive along with all his friends and their parents. Myself and my partner had three tests, all negative. I had same symptoms that other parents did as well. Recently did an antibody test which came back negative. So I guess I must've just had a bad reaction to the vaccine.

It’s a very strange virus which we don’t fully understand. Two of the guys at work had their wives test positive. They remained negative to date. It’s the invisibility of this virus that makes it a problem. My brother was in hospital a week and my mom is still in their from 15th January. She’s overcome multiple organ failure. Possible stroke and her oxygen levels pre ventilator we’re 60%. Doctors are baffled at how a woman with COPD and a previous stroke and aneurysm has battled so strongly.
