Infected Chalazion

Hi,

I am diagnosed with infected chalazion on my right eye. Anyone can let me know some home remedies to ease irritation?

GP has prescribed me Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment and some other meds.

Also let me know if surgical drainage of chalazion okay and normal if GP decides to perform?
