I've had pain off and on for years in my left hip. The pain was excruciating when I would be leaving work I had to sit down it was so bad. My pain management doc gave me an injection and said it was bursitis. Bottom line: its much better now because I no longer work but that's a heck of a way to feel better.

Pain
Hello, I used to work with pain so understand what you are saying. I have been retired now for some time but now have severe pain in my leg below the knee , it does not stop, but eases with rest, I'm told it is arthritis of the knee and needs operation. Hope your hip is fine with all this damp weather. I am stuck in as I cannot even stand on my leg and this is putting strain on other side it is a vicious circle . Enjoy your day its quite sunny here in the midlands.
Hello Katie: I'm sorry you can't stand on your leg and it prevents you from going outdoors.
To go off on a tangent: I live in the US and and I'm fascinated with the Cotswolds. I've never been there but the pictures I've seen are wonderful.
I have replied to you with a pm. The cotswold is very nice one of my great grandchildren was born in USA but is back in England now, but his dad lives in USA still. My daughter & granddaughter visit USA around once every two years. Never been there myself or to Australia where my late brothers family & my youngest son live. Bye for now have a good day. x
Hi Kitty I have had numerous episodes of hip bursitis and from what the Doctor as told me will continue to do so. Sadly injections no longer work for me and rest as become the only option for me. I do agree the pain is horrible.
