A reminder to men (and women in their life) that there is an aggressive form of Prostate Cancer which was discovered by Medical Researchers only a few years ago. Many Drs still are not aware of the Aggressive Prostatic Cancer as for many it would not have been known when they did their medical training.
My father died of this aggressive form of cancer as it was not known about at that time.
It is important if you hear of a man who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer to ensure that they are checked ASAP to ensure it is not the aggressive type of cancer. If it is they need to be treated ASAP otherwise they will die within 18-24 months.
There are new treatments being developed all of the time by Medical Researchers. There is an M.I.R. Which supports Nano Worm technology discovered by Medical Researchers in San Diego.
The Nano Worms highlight every cancer cell in your body and allow treatment to be delivered only to the cancer cells. This leaves the rest of your body tissue in a healthy condition. After treatment there should only be a minuscule amount of cancer left. Other Medical bodies such as CERN are working on crushing any minuscule cancer cells that are left.
My daughter was awarded a post grad scholarship in science communication and with funding from the Australian Government she made a short film about Nano Worm technology.
