Post Op Appendectomy Infecfion symptoms

I had an appendectomy a week ago. Past 3 days been having some sharper lower right sided pain and im dizzy, lightheaded with not frequent but there waves of nausea. No fever. Anyone have post op infection after an appendectomy? What were your symptoms?

Def call ur doc or the hospital..to be safe.If its nothing...GREAT! If it isn't...at least u caught it quick.

Yep,I had the big operation, not keyhole surgery, my wound had just started to ooze clear liquid on the 3rd week just when I got discharged from hospital, and I had started to get terrible pain and just started to feel unwell generally, I went to the doctors and they took a swab, which was sent up to the hospital, I had a phone call to go and collect some antibiotics in the afternoon and after around 3 days it settled down, however sometimes if you have had the big surgery you can get stomach adhesions, and the bowel gets stuck,this required another stay in the hospital, and they basically just monitored me and fortunately my bowel started to wake up,but no food lol,and a nasal tube for good measure, all being well you'll be on the road to recovery soon, take things easy if you've had the big surgery ,eat plenty of protein and fibre and don't overdo things, speedy recovery.

Thank youCb1963. Im having more op site pain but when I went to the Er all is great , blood work and CT etc maybe im just taking longer to rebound. I did have 2 other pelvic surgeries this year so im sure that is not helping.
