Noticed a lot of members talking about there unhappiness with docs, WELL.. heres something else for ya to think about...
Recently I had to go for a yearly wellness exam for my insurance company. If ya do the exam and pass all there requirements, u get a monthly $ discounted amt off ur insurance premium. Like most people.. Im far from rich... and would gladly accept any free money that could help me...especially with paying for medical and etc insurance.
To my shock... after I received the paperwork that the clinic submitted by fax to my insurance company.. I nearly lost my s****. From what I read.. angered (and stress) me so much.. it caused me to have serious health issues. All of which I don't and didn't need.
The info they submitted was not only grossly incorrect, but could cause me to lose my medical insurance and or any future docs or even my current docs.
I was so ripen pissed I finally calmed myself so I could call and speak with them on the phone.. since I knew if I showed up..Id probably destroy the place per my temper and previous head injuries.
Long story short.. they tried to play it off as .. this will be a good teaching moment for office staff including the docs....WTF !!!!!!!
Obviously they didn't take our conversation seriously because it took them 4 days to get the paper in the mail to me...then days to get to me.If I could have drove down there myself to pickup the paper I would have but couldn't.
Im still ticked off and Im not letting them get away with this....
I filled out the paper they sent me and I returned it asap to them.
They have 60 days by law to file this info with my insurance company for corrections.
There office mgr is also aware of my request for a letter of apology, so if I have future issues with this info I will have there letter to back me up.
Im not letting this issue sit idle...Im gonna be on them till the info is corrected. If they choose to ignore me.. well there is always the local news outlets and radio stations who would love to hear my story.
Yes... Im mad..but the info they put is extremely damaging and it wasn't just one mistake..it was 4 mistakes from the same visit/exam.
Word of advice to everyone.... check ur medical records, don't except ridiculous excuses from ur docs/offices if ur 100% correct on the problem and they r not.
With all the $ we pay these docs and etc.. the least they could do is get our info right and not give US a hard time for standing up for ourselves and our medical records.
