I get MST prescribed but feel I'm just been fed medication with no after care. I have no idea what's happening to my insides and what long term damage I'm causing to myself. My doctor's seem to just give me my medication to get rid of me. I'm a little confused about how to go forward as regards getting help from a medical professional.

Hi, me being me, if your doctor is just going give you pills, then it’s up to you to STOP, can you tell me what your giving me, what are they for and what are the side effects, if your dr is bald, then say, oi baldy stop feeding me pills and find me something that will help me.

And this is how I spoke to my oi, baldy, I need help and not just brushed under the carpet, he then handed my a list of other GPs now go and find one, lmao. But seriously you need to speak to dr who, and tell him what is wrong with you, help him to understand you and your needs, but don’t be fobbed off.

Maybe even find another one.

Maybe find another one is the way to go. My surgery is so awful, there is no concistansy there as no doctors stay.

Good advice!

Definitely find another one then, have a look on line at NHS, and look round for doctors in your area.

No I was taking tramadol and MST together with floroxatine for depression. But I since stopped taking tramadol and am now just taking MST. I have been taking them now for 3+ years and get them on repeat prescription. So I don't even get to see a doctor to get checked out now and then. I've just payed to have bloods done and had the results. All of which were good there are no problems now! But and very concerned that if I continue to take the MST I'll cause problems later on. And if I stop taking the MST I can't move, get dressed, wash, and am in chronic pain all day. The MST is not the answer! And only takes the severe edge off the pain enough to allow me to get up. It's so debilitating just doing the same thing every day with no light at the end of the tunnel. I'd like to get involved in getting up some kind of petition to get the help people in chronic pain deserve.

No

Are you living out of the UK

If that is the case it can be very important you have your bloods taken especially if you feel tired.

I have now suffered Chronic PsA for about thirty years, I have bloods taken every twelve months to check my immune system. I also Suffer Reactive Depression and Chronic Short Term memory disorder.

It is important you keep an eye on your medications and treatment option especially if you are still young
