Has anyone tried the Arc4Health gadget. It reduces tissue pain by micro electrical impulses?

No but I’ve tried Quell which works well if you use it all the time

Hi Pinky2233 thanks for such a prompt response😊😊 I have not heard of Quell: is it also based on electrical impulses? What type of pain relief does it offer?

quellrelief.com/

It gives pulses but is user friendly

Takes my pain down a point or two And definitely the edge off which helps in combination w Gabapentin and treatment

Would love to learn how the one you mentioned works too

I have the arc4health. I didn’t think it made much difference until I stopped using it and then realised my pain was so much worse. I don’t have instant pain relief from it like some people did but I thought it was worth a try

Can you get it on the NHS as it’s very expensive to buy yourself?

No I don’t think you can get on nhs, but you can get an £25 off the total price using an agent discount code.

Dear Zedman - I suffer from neuropathic pain a damaged nerve right across the buttocks have not been able to sit for 5 years. I am thinking of purchasing one of these, have you tried one yet and what results did you have please let me know. What sort of pain are you dealing with. I don't want anything that is going to flair the nerve up.

Hi McNichols.

Thanks for responding. Sorry to hear of your nerve pain. What meds have you been prescribed?

I have nerve damage in my right hand and forearm and non of the prescribed meds (antidepressants, anticonvulsants didn’t touch the pain but their side effects turned me into a zombie and the oedema gave me 20kg extra weight in just a few weeks😡) . Monthly Lidocaine infusions helped for a few days at a time but after 6 months they were totally ineffective ☹️ I tried 8% Qutenza which set my hand on fire for nearly a week and I had to wrap it in ice 24/7. I cannot describe the agony.

I have not tried the Arc4Health yet but like you I do not want to send the nerves in a frenzy with electrical impulses without getting some feedback on it’s effec.

As a fello nerve pain suffer,I,m sure you know exactly what I mean.

Take care and all the best with your pain management. I will post my experiences if and when I get to use it.

Hi Zedman - I'm on gabapentin, amitriptyline, co-codamol and a small dose of diazepam, also 4 paracetamol and 4 ibuprofen - I hate being on all these medications and should love to know what I would be like without them all but hard to get off. I'm in such a lot of pain, the nerve is irritated and making the muscles tighten up which makes the pain worse. I do think medication can cause muscles to tighten so in a vicious circle. I've actually sent for a arc4health but I shall be scared to use it at the moment until everything calms down a bit. I cannot take or use any medication which heats my body up as it makes the pain worse i.e.anti-depressants which cause sweating. You need referring to a Pain Clinic but one who may offer you a spinal cord stimulator, some do not and show very little compassion.

So its a case of are you going to try an arc 4health first or me. If you do let me know and it will give me confidence to try it. Ive also decided to try a homeopath again and she is sending me some preparations to try. She seems sure she can help me get off the gabapentin but it will be a very slow job. I tried to cut 100mg 2 days running, thought I was doing well then I woke with pains down both legs on the 2nd night - horrible.

I was told after my operation I may have nerve damage!!! A few months after my back operation I was able to sit for about 4 months but started to deteriorate, had acupuncture which absolutely flared the nerve up so please don't have that. I then stupidly went to a physiotherapist who had worked on athletes at the olympics. I asked him if he had dealt with people with nerve damage and he said he was sure what the problem was. When I first went to see him I was driving and could sit sometimes by the time he had finished with me he had flared the nerve so badly it took months for it to calm down so don't go down that route. Recently a retired nurse advised me to try devils claw so I stupidly dashed out to get some - it is supposed to relax the muscles - it flared the nerve up. Then I tried cbd oil - really good reputable shop - only a low dose - the cbd brothers is supposed to be the best but the doses start higher - again it flared the nerve up so you can see how sensitive I am to anything. Hence my fear of trying the arc4health.

Also the pharmaceuticals are making generic medication cheaper all the time and changing their sources. One pharmaceutical I always used have changed their supplier and the medication no longer works so what is happening?

Keep in touch.
