Butec 5mg patch

Only the smallest dose, but made me nauseous and giddy after two days, so had to remove it. Helped with pain a little and continued to help for a further two days after removing patch. Now excruciating pain returned. Has anyone had this reaction after the smallest dose and was I wrong to remove it?

I'm on 20 strength and have had no side effects... I couldn't do without it, so I would recommend sticking with it for longer to see if you build up an immunity to the side efefcts. Anything causes new symptoms in the first few days and weeks but the long term help might override the negatives.

Sometimes you just have to ride through it .

The side effects you mention are unlikely to last long. Maybe it’s a case of taking anti emetics for a week or two and being careful if dizzy/ giddy and seeing how things go.

The problem is 5mcg/hr is a tiny dose and buprenorphine is usually well tolerated so it would mean perhaps there are not a great deal of other options. This is usually a good bet !

I was exactly the same when first using a 5mcg patch.. Your best off starting again and using them. The side effects for me did disappear after a few weeks. I'm now on 35mcg and could not deal with My pain without them. They are a god send for Me. Good luck
