Stabbing Knee pain

Sharp pain in left knee where surg done 3 yrs really bad and scary , I’m 65 had both knees done 2014 no family my independence is very important to me .mjh ps what I n the world can it be I have not hit it or twisted it in any way ?

This sort of thing happens to me sometimes, but more with the feet, excruciating pain comes without me doing anything. This is typical of arthritis joints, , try and relax, go to bed and rest see what the morning brings, phone doctor in the morning if necessary , good luck

Hi mjh . I have discovered that knee pain is often the result of something happening further up the leg or even the hip. Is it possible that your hip is starting to develop problems ?

I get frequent pain in one knee but it's because I have problems with my back and Sacrioilic joint. As a consequence I often use that leg award ly to lessen the pain. Result is stabbing pain in the knee. I call it my body's domino effect. I exercise my thighs daily to help provide a good muscle tone ( or better than it was) which will support my knees.

Have you been having problems elsewhere ? Has it been icy where you are and you have altered your walk to compensate. ?

Obviously if it carries on above a few days then your best course is see a doctor. Or a physio or chiropractor. But don't panic. There are all sorts of reasons for knee pain.

Hope the pain gets better by itself ut if it does it might be an idea to visit a physical therapist for suggestions to keep your hips knees and legs working optimally.

Hey you might be right,I also have sciatic nerve damage, and pain and horrible numbness , and just the weirdest sensations throughout rt leg and foot but i’ve Been told the nerve damage is permanent and yes my faint has somewhat alterted too . I am so glad to have found this sight I could go on and on thanks lot.
