Confused

When I read posts on here I get confused with the wording of medication. I mean I don't recognise pain medication wording. Am I right in thinking this site is from the USA?

No this is a UK forum actually based in Scotland. However we get members from all over the world and many countries have different names for the same drugs.

If you get confused just ask...no one minds

Ah ok. I've been told I have chronic pain syndrome but I'm finding that my GP is being slow in my treatment. I just want this all to go away and let me be myself again. I really don't understand why this is happening and I seem to get worse on a daily basis. Is there an end?

Hi I have had chronic pain for over ten years and of is a rollercoaster of bad days and good. The hard thing is adjusting to a pain condition and getting your meds right. Next thing is getting help pain clinics are a good place to start. The journey is a long one so good luck x

You want the honest answer?

No.

Only managing pain to a level where you have some function. This is possible with help and support with drugs, self help and Probably pain clinic..

And lots of members here who all experience long term pain.

Do you know where your pains are? Have you had a trauma? An operation or something to trigger it off

It does help to know and understand what causes the pain but not everyone gets a diagnosis
