Aspergers dla to pip

My 26 year old son who has aspergers need to go from dla to pip .I am his appointee.has anybody had success in claiming and can you please give me some advice about the process. Thanks

My son is 21 and we just went from DAL to PIP successfully. He also has the connective tissue disorder Ehlers Danlos which causes fatigue.

The main thing I would recommend is using Benefits and Work's guides. They are very good and worth every penny to join.

As an appointee you are expected to be at the assessment and will be able to talk too. I also took notes. I was very much part of the assessment but you have to remember it is about your son, not about you, so don't be temped to tell them how hard life is for yourself.

If you have any problems go to your MP. They have a special helpline for the DWP and if enough MPs to to the DWP with their constituent's problems the DWP will have to start to take notice.

Hi, I think you have had some great replies. A family member works at CAB and I would recommend them highly as well, and their web site. This gives invaluable help. I echo the advice on getting good professional reports from Drs, Educators etc.. All good wishes.
