Well its good news that you are almost well enough to return to work. I do appreciate what you are saying about making a claim for Disability Benefits. I am sure the powers that be make claiming so difficult in the hope that claimants just give up. I have been on DLA for some time and have to be re-assessed every three years. It's such a pain filling in the forms then having to have a face to face interview.

But good luck with your return to work and hopefully you can soon stop applying for DLA.

That's not I said in my post,I not well enough to go back to work,I can't even walk properly yet.

Hi don't forget if you live on your own or yours is the only income coming in you can apply for housing benefit (if you rent) and a council tax rebate. This should all help.

You could also apply for ESA (sickness benefit). There are 2 groups and if you manage to get in the support group this is around £120 a week. Not a fortune but it will top up your statutory sick pay. To find our more info google Gov.uk and all the info will come up.

You might also be able to get PIP. This has replaced DLA for all new claimants if you are under 65. Again all the info is on the Gov site. Good luck.
