Could you phone GP on Monday and tell them this? You should get a phone call back.

If you do have an internal bleed from the stomach or maybe a duodenal ulcer for examples then you will get weaker until it is treated.

Are you back on Omezprazole or Lansoprazole?

I'm on a different one until I get a stool test for h ployri or some bug. I will mention soon because it's scaring me my gp calls me healthy yet all these symptoms he looked at my throat quickly and said it's fine. I also mentioned weight loss he wasn't concerned about it and I am...

What one are you on?

If they find Hpylori then you will probably be given an antibiotic as well.

I am glad you are having a stool test because if you are still bleeding it should be found in that.

You could go to A&E. That is another option for you to think about if you aren't feeling any better.

So he didn't refer you to ENT with your throat or arrange any tests then? Pity. You will have to phone or go back to GP if it doesn't improve soon. Also you can mention it at your next mental health appointment.

Didn't GP arrange any blood tests? I wish GP had made urgent referals to a Gastroenterologist with your bleed and an ENT Specialist for a nasendoscope to have your throat properly examined. These are things you can consider asking for if symptoms don't improve.

I'm afraid, whatever the circumstances , our NHS is so slow to act sometimes and we have to keep going back and pestering GPs till we get everything sorted. And get appropriate investigations, diagnosis and treatment.

I'm on ranitidine instead of the other because the other you have to stop for 10 days. No he didn't refer to ENT thinks my throat is normal and it's not. I will continue to go bsck because the day I was unable to breath scared me -none of my family take my symptoms seriously after this...- I should've asked last time but I didn't. He isn't a very good gp... I thought gps would closely monitor my health but apparently not!

Don't be put off by any negative reactions by GP. Many people get this - but we have to keep going back . Go to different GPs in the practice, keep going back to the same one or even go to A&E when symptoms bad and / or scary. At least you have your appointment after 2 weeks with the person you saw last week. Keep writing down symptoms / list of concerns to share with them.

It took me a very long time to find out what was wrong with my throat.

Keep posting. Keep in touch.

Try not to get negative feelings towards GP. Is there another you could see there?

Difficult as it is, when they can be so dismissive about our symptoms, politely state your symptoms and concerns and ask what it could be and how can it be treated.

We have a right to ask for a diagnosis.

There are several in the office I will keep trying I guess but he doesn't seem to be so concerned when I certainly am dealing with it all. I've to go back some point next week's and this Saturday give a stool sample. I'm not sure I should bother A&E about this.. Maybe if it continues to get worse.
