Anti- Depressants that don't work

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away (Did you sing that)

I went to see a psychiatrist. I have had depression since I was a teenager. Saw various counsellors, had the pills etc....

40 yrs on and still finding the right balance. Yesterday was my "shining light!"

Over the yrs, bipolar has been mentioned, but no one has come forwards to take it further.

SO, yesterday, We went through the symptoms check, day to day moods etc.....

She said you're showing signs of BP....But, I want you to carry on taking anti depressants for a while longer.. At that point, I clenched up...Sick of hearing about anti d's. I explained again that they're not doing anything. I was asked what I think the answer was..

My reply, "If I was getting x amounts of thousands of pounds a year, I'd tell you.!"

I feel so let down. Has anyone been through similar?
