Has anyone suffered from a frozen shoulder? I've had pain which started at the side of my neck and has travelled into the muscle in the top of my arm and shoulder blade could this be the start of a frozen shoulder?

Frozen shoulder
Commiserations, frozen shoulder is miserable (I've had in on both sides, just the once, thankfully).
There are several reports on this forum: healthunlocked.com/search/f...
You can read more about the symptoms here: nhs.uk/conditions/Frozen-sh...
When I had frozen shoulder, in the early stages, the pain was in my shoulders and arm (with very limited movement) rather than the neck. If I say that I have my fingers crossed for you that you have a nagging pull in the neck rather than a frozen shoulder, I think you know how I mean it.
Good Luck!
I've got torn tendons in both shoulders, had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago. Don't know yet what I have to have done, seeing Doctor on Monday. This pain takes away your happiness and makes you feel down doesn't it. Hope you can get physio or some kind of relief.
Kind thoughts to you.
Sounds likely if no injury occurred, see GP 1have had two and recently had capsular release on rt shoulder, after over 2 years of pain- physio , hydrodilation x2 unsuccessful, manipulation etc.
I find using heated wheat bag to ease discomfort, stretch arm, use ice pack after to ease discomfort try to keep moving. Brufen sometimes recommended as thought initially due to inflammation. Hope it eases quickly for you.
Definitely sounds like frozen shoulder. Some years ago, I had both shoulders frozen at the same time - nightmare and am starting physio next week for another one. Have already had cortisone jabs but had no effect. Also have diabetes type 2 and my new GP told me that shoulder problems go hand in hand with diabetes (for some unknown reason) but nobody in my diabetes group has heard that. I have found a reference to it on the Diabetes UK forum. Has anyone else heard this? I'm despairing of getting it again as this one has gone on for months now. I can fully empethise. The pain is excruciating and the condition debilitating. See your GP. Be interesting to know how you get on.
Yes I have Type 1 both shoulders frozen just had op on rt shoulder capsular release . Movement better and pain reduced .
Hi
I'd recommend getting referred to a muscular specialist I was told I had either impingements or frozen shoulder in both shoulders and had physio for months without any improvement was then referred to a specialist who immediately had both shoulders x rayed and diagnosed rotator cuff tears in both shoulders.I think that's the same as torn tendons I was booked in for surgery on the worst shoulder and it was repaired it was quite painful afterwards but is fine now.Incredibly I've not had any problem with the other shoulder.ask your GP for a referral.Best of luck Tracey.

Hi
I had frozen shoulder yrs ago, when the pain got so bad for me I went to a chiropractic. Was xrayed and the following morning went back to him and he did what he had to do. I went home and dug my garden over.
But make sure you get one that is highly recommended. I've read there are dodgy ones out there.
So for me I would recommend chiropractic. As I've never had any problems with my shoulder since 1995 I'm just falling to pieces with my back etc.
I hope you find away soon, but keep going back to GP to get on a list of whatever way you decide to go.
Take care xx
