After an appointment with my Neurologist yesterday he told me to purchase a Ultrasound machine of of Amazon to help with my constant pain from 3 crumbling disc's (Inoperable), plus compressed nerves in left shoulder. At the age of 69 not a lot going for me.

Not sure what he suggesting you buy. But I purchased a "pain pen" from Amazon for around £49.00. I have raved about this on previous posts. I was in absolute agony with back pain which meds were not touching. 10 mins after using pen I fell asleep on the sofa!!

I also have tens machine but not as helpful as pain pen.

You can get them cheaper than I paid but you have to keep pressing button whereas mine you press button once to activate it. Living on my own and problem being my back cheaper pain pen wouldn't suit.

Go onto Amazon then put in pain pen. Then look for "paingone plus". That is one I purchased £39.95. I am very pleased with it.

Do you know if ultrasound treatments helps? I had this type of treatment at a couple of times via a Physio. i feel you would need to try it out first to see if it helped. And also check which model to purchase

Can your neurologist or GP refer you to a pain clinic for pain management? They might be able to recommend models, lend some to you for a trial, and give other useful advice?

The first time my physical therapist used one on me it was amazing it took a lot of the pain away in my lower back. That was the first and last time it worked. So like so many others have suggested before you buy one I would have a professional use it on you several times to see if it helped before you buy one.
