I am beginning to think that GP's, in fact, the total NHS cannot address this problem at all. We all suffer with pain but the trouble is that if a 'moaner' goes to the doctor and is shuffled away into a nuisance 'container', it makes really bad pain for those that DO suffer enormously from it begin to be invisible to a doctor as he has "heard it all before". It is weeding out the ones with the most pain from those that have little that is the difficulty and no-one wants to waste meds on those that are not really bad. I am not suggesting that you are one of these but there ARE plenty and it is so difficult for a GP to separate some of the time. If you ask about pain at your pharmacy, they will advise and if it continues to extremes, then go and get your doctor to act or, as I have said to many, go and get a second opinion from another surgery. You won't know until you explore all avenues that are open to you ......
