Hi

I have had mine fitted comming up to two years ago now and if you want to read a bit of what it has been like for me then look at my other posts. If you do want to ask me anything please feel free to and also if you are on Facebook then look at the site spinal cord stimulator UK as it has lots of people in the same way. Good luck with everything and like I said please feel free to contact me for any further information.

Morning!!!

Yes it is, I'm not sure how far along you are with everything but you would have to have a trial first anyway to see if it works for you before having the whole transplant.

It is a simple surgery and since our government cracked down on opiates, I sure the hell would rather have lessened pain with the SCS than full pain without anything.

Thanks for getting back to me bud

I really hope it works for you as it's has for me, the only thing I will say is don't pin all your hopes and dreams on it as it doesn't work for everyone. It's given me a better quality of life but I still have pain every day and I'm still on some opioid medication too I did hope to come off it tbh. Look up and research into it as much as you can and I'm sure you will be able to make an informed decision.

Hi Sharon may i just ask if urs is the Medtronic scs device u have had implanted,,, i got this nearly 4 years ago done ,,,

Hi, what is the stimulator about does it help if you are paralyzed or is it just for back pain or arthritis.

I'm only asking as my nephew had accident last year at the age of 19 years old as he races motorbike well DID race motorbikes as he came off at 130mph and damaged his spine and spinal cord and is now paralyzed from chest down, he is trying to raise £50,000 for treatment and to help him buy the things he needs to make his life more easy, if anyone can give a little as every little helps you can buy visiting Just Giving and search for Lewis Meldrum.

I'm a member on healthunlocked as I have bilateral Lymphoedema in both legs.

Not what you're looking for?
