Chest pain under my breast
Hi and welcome, just wondered if you've had an X-ray yet? If not ask doctor to refer you as I think this has gone on a long time now and it's about time they found the problem. Ask to be referred to a specialist as quite often and in your case the GP spends years trying to help your pain but not actually finding the cause and unless you ask for a referral you won't get one. I have similar pain under my left breast (and also left side of torso) following a bout of shingles back in 2002. Nothing seems to help, I've had X-rays, CT scans, MRI's the lot and nothing is conclusive. As 'lowlife' has suggested it may be a good idea to go to your GP and ask for an xray or even a ct scan and try and get referred to a specialist. Nobody should have to suffer with this kind of pain for 'years'. I wish you well xxx
Was just reading about this kind of pain, where it starts on the left side chest and radiates to the back. This can happen if you have fibromyalgia. Apparently there was a lot of people who have been calling an ambulance as the pain was so severe they thought they were having a heart attack. Don't know if you have Fibromyalgia but it would be worth checking it out. Anyone who does experience chest pain should always get it checked out regardless if you think that it is caused by something else... better to be safe than sorry. Best wishes Lynne
