Hi, just wondering if any of you have had a similar experience or any ideas... I'm 21 years old, came off the injection 17th August and ever since have had severe sickness and diarrhea. Been into hospital and was told I have gastroenteritis but obviously that assumption went after a few weeks. Have asked my doctor if the injection could be related and they are adamant it isn't. Had my appendix out In May so have had an ultrasound to check that area. Seemed to calm down at dome points of the day originally but it's getting worse. The past few days I've started having chest and back pains, doctor doesn't seemed concerned but it's starting to affect my daughters, partners and my life. No idea what else I can try... Have tried every nausea tablet available to me and none agree with me. DEFINITELY not pregnant, have had blood, stool and urine samples taken and all come back clear... Any suggestions?
Thought I'd give it a go...: Hi, just wondering... - Pain Concern
Thought I'd give it a go...
Sounds like withdrawal symptoms- but impossible to say what's going on without clearer information.
What was the injection? What was it for? How long on it? What is your general health condition?
Looking forward to hearing more from you. Sounds a worrying scenario going on for you.
Good luck.
Ps. Just rereading- if the symptoms have been going on for six weeks- then unlikely to be withdrawal. But need to know more.😕
Thanks for your reply... It was Depo Provera contraceptive injection and I was on it for a year. Up until I came off it (through docs advise as it was putting weight on me) I was in fine health. Doctor keeps saying it has nothing to do with it and won't put me on the pill to control hormones because she doesn't think it's related... I've done some Internet research and some ladies say they feel pregnant. I had hyperemisis when I was pregnant so was permanently sick, went from diarrhea to constipation all the time, just like now... Not sure what to do next as I'm now going to lose my job through being signed off by my doctor so much (still in probation period) and I won't get in to see a specialist for weeks if not months. A bit lost! Been again yesterday and the doctor has given me antidepressants for anxiety. Really don't want to take them as I feel like they will make the situation worse in the long run! X
Yeah- from that , it sounds like could be hormonal readjustments. Not being of the feminine persuasion, I will make no more comments😢.
Really difficult and frustrating for you- I wish you all the best.
It sounds very like withdrawal.Perhaps you could ask your doc if that could be it? Best of luck
