Bowel pain

Hi dose enybody suffer with pain in there bowel after going to the toilet I am in pain all day and have taken so many pain killers I am under St Thomas hospital and they don't know what it is just wondering if eny body has heard of this as the pain is so bad it takes all my energy and effects my dad to day things

I am so sorry!!! And yes unfortunately. Though for many reasons. Where is your pain ? Both sides, low, high? Is your stool soft, hard and regular? Do u have aby other health conditions? There are a lot if nerve endings in your colon and ass we pass our stool it can scrape our colon causing pain.

Yes I know exactly what you mean-I'm often constipated too! You take the pills, to help the pain, which increases your constipation-a well know 'side effect'-and next time it's like concrete again!

I put 'skin creams' up my bum, which CAN help. Try the 'for external use only' type, they irritate, the bowel, the most.

Have you tried Movicol (or other brand) from GP? This is not a laxative but softens things and makes it easier to go.

Hi.

Yes i had mayor bladder surgery in 2014 due to nerve damage following my Stroke & following brain surgerys. I have now got a Mitrofanoff (opening from my belly button into my bladder. This alowes me to fully empty my bladder & reduce both my pain & leakage. Please let me know if I can help. Steve.

I have had constipation for 2 years plus ..and now i am awaiting to go for an colonscopy

My mum has colitis and my dad has chrohns disease

Which are both inflammation in the bowels

I can not believe they have made me wait this long

They have had me on powders 2 differenet kinds

And posertries up my bum and still not shifted my bowels i am in constant and pressure in my bowel wen i try to go ..

Give myself internal haemaroids with pushing
