hi Donna i was joking i used to be an HGV driver that's why i said what i said i thought it would be something like that but i couldn't remember what you called it, are your saying i should learn how to cros stitch or drive HGV well your going to be shocked i've done both cros stitch when i was very young in age and my last job was driving HGV all over our country for ten years, then illness stuck me down at 42 years old and now just ready for scrap yard, take care its been nice to meet you hope to speak again soon your friend Alan xx

I actually work in the transport office at asda only because i am never going to be able to do manual work again and i struggle with that .hey a man that crafting thats brilliant . Im sorry you are not able to drive hgv you must really miss it and i did realise that you were joking hun . Take care also donna x

hi Donna a job is a job just because your no longer super woman doesn't say anything bad about you, working in a transport office for Asda is a demanding job and i'm proud of your for doing that job, yes i miss the driving around our country but the stress i don't miss, in fact i tried getting a job in a transport office but because i hold my HGV there were looking for drivers. yes i can't believe when i was at school and at home i used to cros stitch darn my own socks and my dad's when he worked down the coal mines and when i left school and when down the coal mines i used to darn my own socks but then i left the pit in 1999 and then went truck driving until 30/11/09 when illness started to take hold and just went down hill since then, that's one thing i love is to have a laugh and joke i would love to see the finished piece when you have done it if that's o.k with you take care sweet dreams for later take care yourself Donna your new friend Alan xx

That will look fantastic I used to by the Rose and Hubble Christmas stocking to make then I sold them on the guide dogs stall I also got some material with dog bone print and made one for the guide dogs. You need to get a move on Christmas is just around the corner

Hi i bet folk loved them you had joy out of making them .seeing the end product is always exciting . This one is about 9 pages of a4 so next christmas is my aim . I will do others inbetween this one is all colour changeing its driving me mad all ready lol x

I hope you will post a picture of it I can do x stich but haven't for many years as I have pins and needles in my hands. Quilting is much better and faster the stockings I made we about 3 feet tall, rose and Hubble also did advent calendars I made one for my dogs I filled them with gravy bones they loved them.

We used to have a lady on hear who was very artistic she made some beautiful thing from knitting to painting.

I sadly stopped cross stitching a number of years ago, thanks to both pain and new activities.. ie internet and 2 daughters.

That is a challenge but from your previous bus crosstitch it will look amazing when you've done it.

Love trucks anyway as used to have my HGV licence before the Lupus made me give it up.I miss the up in the air views from the cab of my own rig.Actually got caught out when went into labour with second son ,now 24,and drove to maternity in it took up most of the carpark ,which security didn't appreciate, but didn't have much choice as gave birth twelve minutes later !

Well have to do some more bike rebuilding to keep up with you so can post some progress.

My word you cut things fine hey .bet there are not many women with that story to tell lol. Bet you were talk of the hospital for ages . Good for you i envy women hgv drivers i like being high up my hubby drives hgv for tesco he keeps saying have a go but not able at the mo.
