I had a discectomy in august 2014 and a revision discectomy in october. I had an MRI done again in january 2015 and NCS/EMG done. The NCS/EMG shows normal and my latest MRI shows not herniation, but granulation tissue.

Currently I am having leg pulling sensation, calf stiffness and tightness all the way my foot when I sit, laying down on the bed. Walking and standing is ok for short distance. When I walk longer distance my leg feels weak, heavy and tired. After taking my pain medication I began to feel the numbness and weird feeling at my left leg, The pain medication managed to stop the tight feeling.

Could this discomfort causes by the granualation tissue?

Hi Florence, sounds like you should get back to your GP or surgeon and explain these symptoms as they don't sound too good. Best wishes

I'm so sorry your having discomfort. Please ask your doctor. Question can you talk to your doctor? Do you feel it's your fault? I ask that because sometimes pain can make us feel like it's hopeless. Keep seeking answers and pray. Best to you, F

Sometimes just getting things moving again after being in pain and limited mobility can cause strange feelings. You may just need to work through it. Keep going with stretches to prevent the scar tissue restricting things in future, yes it can be sore but it's worth it in the long run!!
